Buffalo's Newest High School Opens

Culinary Arts High School Serves Downtown Customers

The long-awaited and warmly welcomed opened at its new location in downtown Buffalo in March.  Principal Katie Schuta was joined by a host of local officials and media to herald the event.

The new school is the latest development in the renaissance of downtown Buffalo.  It joins the original Buffalo district flagship culinary and hospitality school which opened in 2015.

The new Culinary Arts School features state of the art commercial kitchens, high-tech science labs, a brand-new gymnasium and a library that overlooks the Buffalo skyline.

Preservationists are delighted.  The new school is located in the historic C. W. Livery Stable.  Many of the building's characteristics were incorporated into the converted design.

Buffalo BCSA Local 10 is proud of the role that its members played in this extraordinary new school.
