Meet Buffalo’s Newest Auto Mechanics, Welders, and Machine Tool Operators

Students and Administrators Recognized by The Education Trust - New York State

BCSA would like to congratulate and recognize Principal Dr. Gabrielle Morquecho, Ed. D., her Assistant Principal team Daniel Zack, Gregory Stefanone, Bradley Rowles, and their JROTC leadership team on competing in the 2021 National JROTC Championship!  After advancing through two phases of online competition, the Hutch Tech JROTC Leadership Team composed of Anusha Adhikari, Zoe Schenk, Noor Albadri, LawBah Htoo, and MahNer Soe will compete in the National Championship event to be held in Washington, DC. The 2021 U.S.

New York State has ranked City Honors #2 and Hutchinson Technical Central High School #7 in Western New York in recently published results.  Selection is based on graduation rates, college readiness, and student demographics.  

City Honors and Hutch-Tech are regularly recognized for the outstanding academic accomplishments of their students.  Both schools are highly sought after by parents because of their consistent quality.

Hutch-Tech students also excel in math and reading and graduate at a rate of 91%.

What is a National Blue-Ribbon School?   

It is a school that has closed the achievement gap for students who needed to overcome challenges that previously affected their academic progress.  

Buffalo’s Leonardo da Vinci High School has a graduation rate of over 90%.  This success, along with a unique program that allows students to enroll in fully accredited and transferable college courses as early as their sophomore year, contributed to DaVinci’s being one of only 38 schools selected out of a pool of 420 applicants nation-wide.

Culinary Arts High School Serves Downtown Customers

The long-awaited and warmly welcomed opened at its new location in downtown Buffalo in March.  Principal Katie Schuta was joined by a host of local officials and media to herald the event.

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Erie County Music Educators Association, the Niagara County Music Educators Association and the Friends of the BPO, announce the 2020 Leadership in Music Education Award.
