BCSA Local 10, Buffalo, President Barton Speaks at Mass Meeting to Destroy Racism

"Institutional racism.

It's alive and well.

It's been alive and well for a long, long period of time."

These words were spoken by BCSA Local 10 President Crystal Barton as she addressed an assembly of supporters in a rally held at Martin Luther King Park on Thursday, June 11.

Joining her on the speakers’ list were the leaders of all the school-related unions in Buffalo, as well as Rev. Mark Blue, president of the local NAACP.  Phil Rumore, president of the Buffalo Teachers Federation, called the rally, and the Buffalo Peacekeepers were on hand. The entire crowd was moved by the powerful and emotional words of student Windy Singo, who gave hope and energy to all present.

COVID-19 is not the only virus that needs to be destroyed.
